Longtime Raleigh Landmark Earp’s Seafood Property is Sold

TradeMark Properties Brokers Deal That Marks a New Era for Well-Known Property

Raleigh, NC, March 12, 2019 – TradeMark Properties is pleased to announce its role in the beginning of a new era for longtime Raleigh landmark Earp’s Seafood. TradeMark Vice President Sandra Simpson represented the owner in Monday’s sale of the Earp’s property at 1414 South Saunders Street. TradeMark Real Estate Advisor Jonathon Bassi represented the buyer.

The 2,208 SF building that houses the seafood market sits on a half-acre of land and sold for $930,000. The market has been in business for nearly 50 years and has become an institution for local fish lovers.

“If you live in Raleigh and eat seafood, Earp’s is one of those places you just know,” said Simpson. “We are honored to have played a role in this property’s continuing story of service to the local community.”

Earp’s had to rebuild after it suffered extensive damage by a tornado on April 16, 2011. The business was able to incorporate parts of the existing front of the building and the side walls into the new building and reopen 9 months later. The newer structure is similar to the original market.
